Range & Status
A parasitic species on the living roots of Oak Quercus spp., and rarely Beech Fagus sylvatica , in old open woodland or parkland. An old record, pre-1940s for VC1 (Penzance area) and one recent record for VC2 on the St. Antony Estate in 1988. A widespread species in southern England which is included in the UK BAP List of Priority Species 2007.
